The proposal seeks to upgrade the surrounding area and works both as a promenade and a connector between the lower and higher levels of the site. Since the intervention takes place on top of an existing cistern, landscaping is mostly limited to the surface, thus minimizing the excavation and reducing construction costs.

The layout of the square is characterized by strips paved with materials typicaly found in Spetses, These alternate with zones planted with shrubs and ground cover herbs. (Reference to a possible name Isola de Spezzie given by the Venetians because of the abundance of herbs spices).
